I've been to Iceland a handful of times now through the years. Each time I feel is a story in itself. I think the first time I went was in 2010 when Iceland had its financial crash and it was probably the most affordable time to go. Since then it has slowly crept back to being one of the most expensive places to party. I tend to go during off season which means long nights and only hours of daylight but I always have had a great time.

Hallgrimskirkja, don't ask me to pronounce that, is a major visual icon of Reykjavik. For roughly $5 you can take the elevator to the top and get a great vantage point of the city.
