Day 3: Captain Kidd & Karaoke
The third day is where things really start to take off. We are now pretty much at full capacity in terms of people who were showing up before the actual meet-up day. The day was fairly jam-packed and many people were still nursing hangovers and plain old exhaustion from the previous 2 days. I myself disappear from photos for a bit because I hadnt gotten a good rest since I landed in England. So througout the day it was a musical chairs of people hanging out and getting some rest for the evening activities. Which I'll leave for the photos to tell that end of the story.
This boat stuck in the low tide best represents how lively people are in the morning of any meet ups.
Kirk-Cocaine obviously partied way too hard the night before...
While Dave still had much more party left in him.
catch up on morning e-mails and such...
Actually they were probably just looking at porn again.
just remembered he left his razor at home.
Meanwhile the Stickam is always watching...
and a few more people waking up the sound of Rock Band.
Bezman uses the opportunity to get photos of everyones morning faces.
After a few hours of getting people up and about. Everyone went off to a nearby pub called Captain Kidd. I used the opportunity to catch up on some sleep and also clean up the place a bit.
At the pub at 4pm Side A: Mogly, Kes, Mark aka ChromeShake, Paul aka Scuzzfest
, Tim Frommeyer and Kirk-Cocaine
Side B: Andrea, Liam, Nogfish, Hans and HappyHarry
Dave and Bezman join the group...
Paul and Mogly
I'm pretty sure Poozy is checking out Bezman's ass in this photo
Some folks hoping that it starts raining more beer.
Kirk-Cocaine levitating his empty beer glass
I think Paul is wondering if he really is the youngest person at these meet-ups...
The NG Skeleton Gimp makes an appearance as the sun sets
A few more folks making their way outside
Fast forward a few hours later, folks started getting jaded from being stuck in the pub so they started making their way back to the flat to get ready for kareoke night
Night falls on London. It's time to get back to the flat.
Kaynslamdyke was probably enjoying being alone until the rest of the gang started filing back into the flat.
And a few MORE hours later and it was time to walk over to the kareoke place. It was pretty dead when we got there, in fact we were probably the most lively group that part of town has probably ever seen. Anyways the fact that it was a pretty abandoned karaeoke night only meant that we were able to take it over... and boy did we ever
Liam looks lonely.
The Kitty Krew crashing the party as usual...
Stickam hearthrob WilliWowza
showed up to the kareoke place, Kirk-Cocaine still reeling from the night before, and Andersson looks like he has energy to spare.
Left to Right: WilliWowza, Kirk-Cocaine and Andersson
Moses makes his entrance
and the rest of the staff arrived shortly thereafter
Finally someone breaks the ice and gets on the mic. Swain
gets into some disco
The hell with Flash-off, this is a mother-fucking DANCE OFF.
Dave takes the stage to perform his piece
Not to be outdone by Tim Frommeyer who ripped shit up with his german rendition of That's Not My Name
More of Tim singing for a packed house
captured some of the footage for the NG UK documentary he made
He was definately in a zone.
More RWD members takin the stage, this time its Hans
belted out his rendition of Chef's Salty Chocolate Balls
The soft-spoken Nogfish
also took the stage. Lmao he looks so scared.
More of Tyler
Luka on the other hand is really into it.
Andersson, not so much...
I have no idea what Leo is singing here...
Andrea and Moses did their rendition of 'Love Shack' and kicked off a series of group performances
English band: JPI, The-Super-Flash-Bros Tom, Kes, and Kirk-Cocaine
sing for a NG-packed audience.
Its always good when the audience is singing along I guess.
Mogly, Dave and Kirk-Cocaine
This is one of my favorite photos
This is me attempting to slip Kirk-Cocaine some tongue. I got a mouthfull of hair instead.
Enough fucking around. TIME TO BRING SEXY BACK
Audience: Tom please dont do the hoedown, please dont do the hoedown...
...puttin on the hat.
and he's doing the hoedown.
more of Tom in his zone
Tom thought his singing was so good he started barging in on other peoples solos...
CLOSING TIME. You dont have to go home but you cant stay here.
I slipped mogly
the tongue one last time
Back at the flat, Mogly
play around with some quirky cereal sculpture thing.
That wraps up Day 3. One of the funnest and yet exhausting days of the meet-up and we were yet to even get to the actual meet day! These photos actually do very little justice to the awesome performances that everyone had and I can only hope that Luka's video is able to provide atleast a SMIDGE of justice to what was one of the most memorable nights in my recollection. Lets wind day 3 down with a totally exhausted Poozy!
